EOP supports students who have the potential to succeed in college but may face economic or academic challenges. We’re committed to making your transition into college life smoother so you feel confident and empowered every step of the way. We offer support services like:

Academic, personal, and career tutoring, advising, and counseling.

Financial support to help close the gaps for things like textbooks and supplies.

A supportive community of fellow EOP students and alumni!

How do I Apply for EOP? 

The first step in applying for EOP is to Apply for Admission. On your application, be sure to indicate your interest in applying to EOP! We will let you know your next steps as you work through the admissions process.

Who is eligible for EOP?

  • First-time college students who enroll full-time (12 or more credits)
  • Transfer students who previously attended another college and were enrolled in a similar opportunity program (EOP/HEOP/SEEK)
  • New York state residents (minimum of 12 months prior to enrollment)
  • Qualify as economically disadvantaged (determined by State established criteria)
  • Academic Requirements
    • High School GPA of 70 – 86 (on a 100 point scale) or
    • High School GPA of 1.7 - 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or
    • An earned GED

Requirements of the Program 

  • Participate in our pre-semester summer program that will help you adjust to college life
  • Arrive early for a pre-semester program
  • Participate in all program-based meetings, workshops, activities and certifications

Benefits of Joining 

  • Have a built-in academic and social support community of peers, staff, faculty and mentors before classes begin and throughout your time at TC3
  • Gain leadership development, career exploration, and academic success skills
  • Earn a financial stipend of up to $1500 in the fall and spring semesters
